Thai Customs Department is now preparing for entrepreneur readiness to participate "Standard level of AEO entrepreneur"

Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) is a party, who involved in the movement of goods throughout the supply chain network, has been certified by Thai Customs Department that complies with the standard of WCO (World Customs Organization).

AEO has included Manufacturers, Importers, Exporters, Customs Brokers, Carriers, Consolidators, Intermediaries, Ports, Airports, Terminal Operators, Warehouses, and Distributors. The Thai Customs Department has initially started this program for Exporters since year 2008.  Nevertheless, within this year-2013, The Department will cover to Importers and Customs Brokers.

The Benefits of joining AEO will be comparable to Gold Card and Licensed Customs Broker members.  This includes gaining additional benefits in the future of MRA (Mutual Recognition Agreement) such as reduced Import & Export costs and customs lead time - between country partners who made the agreement.
